Always
As a favorite afghan snugs our shoulders
on chilly November evenings
or worn wool slippers warm our feet
on the cold wood farmhouse floor
as humidity presses against our skin
on sticky July mornings
and dew blankets every blade of grass
at sunrise
as leafy green husks protect
burgeoning sweet corn ears
and hosta’s purple flowers enfold
bumblebees foraging for pollen
as courting birds’ spring ensembles echo
from all directions
and cicadas’ raspy rattles rise and fall
through our mid-summer days
as every-colored leaves shower
October’s woodland walks
and snowflakes swirl around us
on winter strolls
in every single
moment
we are wrapped
in Love

Beautiful, thank you for sharing this
Both homily and prayer — edification for the soul, to which I say, Amen! Love is in all your well-observed details.
